Haha, me too. I can't get anything done unless I'm busy, but when I'm busy, I'm stressed.
So really summer is best. Cheesy

When I'm really busy, I don't really get stressed.  Huh I'm the type of person who thrives when I have so much to do I can't do it all... :s I don't know why... which is why this summer will be so ... meh. All the stuff keeping me busy will be around the house, and that's no fun. Roll Eyes

It's the college thing. Lips Sealed  I never used to be stressed, I was fine all through last year, and last year I sat 27 public exams. Not like the SAT where you walk into a classroom and take it and then leave, like proper public exams, where they check your hands to make sure you haven't written on them, and there are actual exam invigilators from the exam boards, and you have to file in and out in alphabetical order and if you keep writing after they say stop you get disqualified.
Totally fine through 27 of those. But the college thing? Pretty stressed.

Ah well. I am at least sleeping now that I don't have to be at school every morning (study leave!)

Hey Aj, now that your book's done (congratulations, btw!) can we read an extract? Cheesy

I'm trying to figure out how to respond to an email the conservatory administrator sent to me on Wednesday. I'm not sure exactly how I'll put things, but the word "reprehensible" is right at the top of the list of possible adjectives.  Stormy  After ten years there, they informed me that my studio time and space on Saturdays is being given to a new teacher for a new program. For the record, they are absolutely not allowed to do that, and I am going to fight this. Beware the wrath of the termite!!  Smiley

Uh-huh. I haven't looked at it since I finished it, but while writing it I was like, "DUDE! This part would be perfect to post on GK!" and etc. I'll re-read it and find something to post over the weekend... Smiley

Thanks, E Smiley

So what aren't you sure of?

Haven't seen you around for a bit, but figured you were on one of your many world travels.

I've been busy with a summer cold (hate them) and playing some old arcade games with my new joystick. (Actually, two joysticks, some 20 odd buttons, and a full-blown trackball.)

This thing is massive, and really great for playing real arcade games with. It's something like 3 1/2 feet long.

At first was quite upset about something (not related to here) and just didn't feel like posting, and then felt not-missed. So I decided to not post for a while. And then I WAS travelling for a week.
So not sure about whether I wanted to post again or not.

But I've missed this place a lot! And am planning to be back properly now (except that I'll be leaving on Wednesday for a school trip, then family holiday and volunteer-kind-of-stuff).

Sorry that you felt not missed. I'm pretty sure I can speak for all of 'the regulars' when I say that you are...  After all, you're our most-post, most-normal member Smiley

I used to be the most-post until you came along...

Now I'm just depressed all the time (no bearing on you!), so I don't post much.

Hope things are better for you, E.   Oops! Time. Gotta run. I hope this post made SOME sense.

Aside from that... (yes, this is double-posting, but I may as well make the most of my alarmingly infrequent visits) nice to see you, E. I do miss people when they're not here, even though I don't have much to say lately. (I mean, I do have a lot to say lately, and the word "potty" figures waaaaay too largely in what I have to say, but that isn't conducive to having an interesting forum, though I would certainly buy a Ferguson Peach guide to potty training.)

CH has a new job. This is sort of big news, since he spent the past year on parental leave and hasn't had steady employment since then. Of course, the company that hired him is so disorganized that the resulting disorganization-frustration may cause the resignation of CH, but I hope it doesn't.

Naptime! Smiley

Hi, E,

Unfortunately, your absence came during one of the forum's slow times when almost nobody posted almost anything almost anywhere. You were missed, but since nobody was going to post about anything, they weren't going to post about missing you at that time, either.

Hopefully things may be coming back to life, slightly.

Sorry about the potty training, termite!

One ray of hope on the potty training front today: Daniel had spilled some stuff on the floor, so I called him up off of the potty to pick it up and put it back. He ran off while he was picking up things, and I thought he was just disobeying, but when I caught up with him, he was using the potty! Yaaaay! So, he knew he needed to go, and went. Big progress. The obvious problem is, how do I get him to go potty when he's wearing clothes?  Smiley

Hey E,

I'm sorry that I didn't reply in this thread earlier, but things have been fairly busy for me the last week, and I have spent my time on the forum trying to launch my Calvinball thread.
How's that for blatant self-promotion, much? Smiley Roll Eyes Wink

I'm glad to see that you are back on the forum, and rest assured that you have felt missed. In fact, Joe and Jon can honestly vouch for me on that, because I have expressed my feelings about your absence towards them in chat form over the past week or so... Smiley Kilroy Roll Eyes Wink Smiley

I guess what I am trying to say in this thread is that, "Welcome back to the forum E! I hope that you stay!"TM Smiley  Kilroy Jester Pianoman Roll Eyes Wink Smiley

Oh yeah, before I fully leave, I wish Termite considerable luck with her potty training as well, for she will probably need it. That's all for now, folks  Smiley Smiley  Kilroy Roll Eyes Wink Smiley!

Thanks, Lazy. Smiley  I am planning to stay, but I'll be away for the next 3 weeks... but THEN I'll be back. Wink

Off to Florida today! Cheesy  I'm excited to see your state, Aj and Jon. I've never been before. There for about a week, and then on to Sri Lanka to see some friends.

I need to go finish packing, but I will see you all in 3 weeks! And you'd all better still be here. It's really nice having Termite and Lazy here more.

I don't know if you are doing Disney at all while you are here, but if you do, check out the Ohana restaurant at the Polynesian Hotel ... it is my favorite restaurant in the entire world.

Hard to get reservations for, but an incredible meal.

Sounds like you have an amazing vacation planned, E! Have fun!

Yesterday was a four mouse day, and the day before that a two mouse day. So, far, no mice today. Maybe the cats got them all.
