Biography: Jon started reading Gordon Korman more than 20 years ago, beginning with Beware the Fish, and as soon as he started, he had to keep reading everything he could get his hands on.

Eventually, he reached the point of writing to Gordon as each new book came out, passing on his thoughts and praise, and Gordon wrote back, establishing a strong friendship over the years.

Unhappy with the level of Gordon Korman websites, and convinced he could do a better job, Jon created the Semi-Official Gordon Korman Web Site, and eventually Gordon asked him if he'd like to make it the official site, and bring some more content into it.

On matters other than Gordon Korman, ~~Jon is currently freezing in Omaha, NE, and has a cat named Black Lightning who is both his companion and the bane of his existence.~~

Jon has returned to Orlando, and is mucking about with this forum, trying to make it all that it should be. It is the forum that is now the bane of his existence.

I also love Japenese Manga, namely, Naruto.

Music is a BIG part of my life... Yep. It seriously plays 24/7 if I'm concerned.

Plus, I play guitar (and fail at it) learning keyboard, and did clarinet for five days.

Thanks everyone! Daniel does look a lot like his dad, but a lot of people say he has my eyes.

I'm glad you liked the tree, too. I always feel like pictures don't do a Christmas tree justice. Anyway, I guess I can have my carefully-decorated tree for a few more years, before the kids get old enough to start flinging ornaments on willy-nilly!

lol, I was puzzled about why my vision has been so poor since my first pregnancy, but Jon has cleared it up. Of course I can't be expected to see very well if Daniel has my eyes and won't give them back.

I'll see if I can find a decent pic of the whole tree. It was in the kitchen, so that Daniel could continue to have free run of the living room over Chirstmas.

That is a really pretty tree! Ours is always crazy because we put on ornaments from everywhere, so it looks sort of weird, all those things from different places. The elephants from South Africa don't really match the glass things from Venice, or the Scandinavian angels, etc...
So your tree doesn't look sloppy at all, it looks really neat. Very nice.

That tree is a happy accident. The last couple of years I've had blue and silver ornaments that I bought with my last roommate, for the tree. Since this year we had to have the tree in the kitchen, I didn't think the blue and silver would look quite right in that room, so I went through my Christmas decorations to see if I had enough ornaments to decorate with red, gold, and white, and I happened to have plenty of decorations.

(Cementhead would snicker at that. He's always making fun of me for having so many decorations!)

I guess I think the tree looks sloppy there, because I had tried to keep the loops of beads quite even, but in that pic they're going every which way! I think everything else is quite nice, especially the baby's first Christmas ornament! That's the teddy bear sort of to the right on the upper half of the tree.
