Link to page with information on Gordon's school visits.

This is no longer the Official Gordon Korman Web Site, but I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to a new web site with a lot of old content: Old School Korman! This web site, though it will mention Gordon's newest titles, focuses more on the older books, the earlier humorous titles before Gordon switched his focus more toward adventure stories. Hopefully it will still be the best place for information on the early parts of Gordon's career. At the moment, the site is still a work in progress, and I will be slowly updating each page, going through and adding more book cover options, adding links to the books on amazon, and more.

History of the Site

I first became aware of Gordon Korman about five years after he punlished his first book. I read all he had written at the time, wrote him a letter to thank him for writing, and asked about a title that was only available in Canada at the time. He responded, and we sent letters back and forth for a few years, he letting me know what was coming out next, and me passing on my thoughts, once I had a chance to read them. We even met in New York once when I was on a trip.

Around the year 2000 I ended up starting a Gordon Korman fan site on the web, and Gordon took a look at it, found it kind of interesting, and wrote a sort of a welcome letter for me to post on the site. With Gordon's input, I named the site the Semi-Official Gordon Korman Web Site, and that's how things continued for a time.

Eventually, Gordon and I agreed to make the site his official internet home. He bought the domain gordonkorman.com, we moved the site there, and renamed it the Official Gordon Korman Web Site. He continued to provide information on his writing, and sent me advanced copies of his books, and I kept the site updated with information on what was coming up for his fans. (You know, I really miss those advanced copies! It was fun getting to read the stories before almost anyone else.)

We had a nice, long run (11 years in web time is a very long run indeed) but eventually Gordon's publishers decided they wanted him to have a fancier, more flashy web site, and though he resisted for a while, he eventually agreed. I was warned during the late Spring of 2013 that somebody was working on a new web site, and in the fall of 2013, gordonkorman.com became a whole new site, that had nothing to do with me.

But there were two problems ... most of what the new site provided was information on Gordon's latest titles, with much less information on his earlier books, and I still had all the files from the original web site. I mentioned the idea to Gordon of returning the fan site to it's roots, and he approved of the idea. Actually, he even suggested the 'Old School' name. And so here we are.

Recently Released

Late Summer 2013
The Hypnotists: Book 1

The first book in a new Scholastic series (almost certainly a continuing series like Swindle, since it is a hardcover release), The Hypnotists is a series about a kid who discovers he is probably the most powerful hypnotist the planet has ever seen.

Unfortunately, by the time he realises this, others have realised it as well, and Jackson Opus has to discover if he is going to control his powers, or are his powers (and those who might like to use them) will control him.

It's a thrilling new adventure series involving unusual powers, creepy villains, and the forces of good and evil battling it out for control of the minds of America and the world! This one looks to be a lot of fun.

January 2013
Hideout

Hideout is the fifth book in Gordon's Swindle series, and the full hardcover release is now in bookstores! Check out our Hideout page for more information and a sample from the first chapter!

August 2012
Ungifted

Gordon's second title from Harper-Collins (following 2010's excellent Pop!) is Ungifted, the story of a regular kid who accidentally ends up in a super high-powered gifted academy. This one sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Check out our Ungifted page for the first two chapters.

Winter 2014
Swindle: Book 6

Though I do not have a title for it yet, there will be a sixth book in the Swindle series, and it will probably be coming out somewhere around December 2013 to January 2014. More information as it becomes available, but we figured we would let you know it will be coming!
